European kids blog etsy feature

I always keep a sketchpad by my side, not just for ideas and drawings but also for suppliers. I have lost the count of times I have found a lovely product, only to forget the name of the supplier. I am not an impulsive buyer so I now keep a list of great products and their makers. One blog that is a great source of unique and creative childrens products is European kids blog. Here are a few of my favourites from European kids blog....

Things to do over the school holidays.....

We are just over half way into the school summer holidays and I thought I would show you the creative stuff we have been up to. My son, who is three, enjoyed making the stained glass bird (ok I cut out the bird frame). It is a really simple and fun creation to make. I just sellotaped a sheet of sticky back plastic (book cover film) sticky side up onto a table. My son then cut small pieces from multi coloured cellophane and then stuck them to the plastic. I then covered the coloured pieces with another sheet of sticky back plastic and hey presto stained glass for a black cardboard, cut out of a bird. What do you think?

I have this bird hanging near my kitchen window.

Tomorrow we make a paper mache panda....

I love Moonlight

Every so often (when I eventually get some time to blog) I like to keep a list... record....a note if you like of my favourite shops on Etsy. I love Moonlight is a lovely shop full of cute and creative Handmade eco friendly delights.

The owner Mirta (mOOnlight Stvaraonica)  is from Zagreb in Croatia. Surrounded by her beautiful surroundings and one very cute baby owl. (Please take a look I love moonlight blog) Mirta creates her softies in the evening. I love them, original and cute Mirta says "Mostly I make my softies without a pattern, and without a plan. They just become"...beautiful. Please take some time to visit I love moonlight and to read more about Mirta here and here.

What have I been up to?....

It has been a very long time since I last posted on Fine fettle blog. It is no coincidence I stopped posting in November 2012. At the end of November I had a baby. This is baby number 2. As one good Etsy friend mentioned "how am I getting on with the two kid shuffle". My eldest is 3 years old and yes I had to laugh as the two kid shuffle is exactly that.

Anyway my reason for posting today is to show everyone this beautiful necklace from Nutak at Etsy

Putting a huge smile on my face, I received a beautiful package in the post. I love it! Thank you Monika! Please take a look at Monika Etsy shop, Nutak is a shop of delights.
